For the Legal Department at our Willich Headquarter near Düsseldorf, we are looking for an:

Legal Counsel (w/m/d)

 

Your responsibilities:

• Business partnering: Advising internal stakeholders on a wide range of legal issues (EU law, German law, international contracts, corporate law etc.)
• Establishing, monitoring, operating and maintaining internal compliance guidelines
• Assessment of risk factors in relation to business decisions and identification of solutions or application of effective risk management solutions, including proactive advice on potential legal issues
  Communication and negotiation with external parties, e.g. external lawyers, regulatory authorities, public authorities, etc.
• Conducting internal legal training sessions
• Monitoring and update new EU regulations, doing risk assessment and propose solutions

 

Your knowledge and experience:

• Successfully completed studies in law/business law or comparable qualification
• First professional experience in a commercially oriented law firm or a legal department with a focus on commercial or corporate law
• Knowledge of general commercial, contract and company law
• Systematic and precise way of working
• Motivation and assertiveness combined with logical and analytical thinking skills
• Team player with a confident demeanor, intercultural competence and very good communication skills
• Very good knowledge of MS Office
• Fluent German and English language skills in speaking and writing
