Celebrating trophy and Toyo's Quick Start at Cyclocross

The race is over, the winners cheer about the "DVV Verzekering Trofee". But there is also joy about another well-deserved reward. For the first time this season, Toyo Tires also honored the "quickest starters" in the Belgian cyclocross bike race.

Every year well-known international cyclocross racers from 14 countries compete to win the "DVV Verzekering Trophy" on an obstacle course. Courage, endurance and an iron will are constantly required to even reach the finish line. On Saturday, team Alpecin-Fenix secured the trophy in Lille. The team led by the Dutch sportsman of the year, Mathieu Van der Poel, had a 4.5 minute lead over Team Pauwels Sauzen - Bingoal. They are happy about the trophy, which is endowed with 5,000 euros and whose prize money is used for charity purposes.
But Eli Iserbyt from the team second in line thad also reason to cheer up, he won the new Toyo Tires Quick Start. This season, Toyo is rewarding the excellent performance at the start of every race in the series. The first three drivers in the "Elite" class to pass the Toyo Tires Quick Start arch received bonus seconds at the end of each race. 2,500 euros go to Iserbyt and, in the women's category, to Ceylin Alvarado. The classification of the U23 riders was won by the Belgian Timo Kielich.
Some 15 000 spectators watched the finalists on site in Lille. However, the event with its eight races has also become popular entertainment for television viewers. Nearly 2.2 million viewers tuned in to watch the cyclocross elite taking obstacles on rough terrain and speeding along Toyo Tires Boulevard live on screen.
Toyo Tires has supported the tough obstacle race as a partner for years, thus ensuring that this special cycling championship is becoming increasingly popular. Besides the banderoles and banners that decorated the "Toyo Tiers Boulevard" in a camera shot, Toyo distributed useful accessories to the spectators of all races.
