Nürburgring 24-hour Endurance Race with NOVEL racing

TOYO TIRE Corporation (Headquarters: Itami City, Hyogo Prefecture, President & CEO: Takashi Shimizu, hereinafter, TOYO TIRE) announces that it signed a partnership agreement with NOVEL Corporation. (Headquarters: Gifu City, Gifu Prefecture, President: Taku Watanabe; hereinafter, NOVEL racing), and we will be participating in the "Nurburgring 24 Hour Endurance Race" in Germany from 21st to 24th May 2020.

The Nürburgring, an over 25 km long circuit course in Nürburg, Land Rheinland-Pfalz (Germany), has 300m height differences, 200 corners, and sudden weather change unique to mountainous areas, is famous for testing cars and tires by those manufacturers. The Nürburgring 24-hour Endurance Race is notable as the toughest endurance races in the world because the participants need to endure 24 hours run of this difficult course.

In 2020, TOYO TIRES will participate the race with NOVEL racing, a specialized LEXUS tuner develops and sells high-performance parts for the LEXUS "F" model, by developing and supplying tires for the team’s Lexus RC F and TOYOTA Supra GT4. NOVEL racing has been participating in the race since 2016 and got the second and third places in the SP8 class in 2018.
TOYO TIRES will evaluate the required tire spec by testing in our latest high-speed cornering device and establish a database. By utilizing the knowledge obtained from the results, we will deliver highquality and high-performance tires globally.
