The NLS 2 race on March 21 effectively marked the start of the season this year, after the first race had been canceled due to weather conditions. The “TOYO TIRES with Ring Racing” team got off to a strong start, finishing 17th overall among 105 entrants—which translated to 16th place in the highly competitive SP9 class.

Racing driver and PROXES brand ambassador Yuichi Nakayama was pleased with the result in the Nürburgring Endurance Series: “I was very nervous for my first start in SP9, but the tires worked perfectly and enabled us to deliver a stable, reliable performance.” 

The Mercedes-AMG GT3 was equipped with a PROXES tire specification developed specifically for endurance racing. The driver trio, which included Andreas Gülden and Tim Sandtler alongside Yuichi Nakayama, brought the car home consistently and without any major incidents. 

The insights gained from the races on the demanding Nordschleife are directly incorporated into product development and simultaneously strengthen TOYO TIRES’ global brand presence in the UHP segment.
