Open Country tires contest Baja 100

Toyo Tires announces that their Open Country series tires for 4x4s and SUVs will be supplied to selected teams to support their participation in the 57th SCORE BAJA 1000, due totake place in the Baja California Peninsula of Mexico from November 12 to 17.

The BAJA 1000, is the 4th and final race of the SCORE World Desert Championship, known as one of the toughest off-road races in the world, covering rough roads including mountainous and desert terrain, day and night. This time, the course is approximately 864 miles (1,390km), starting from Ensenada, on the Baja California, with the course traversing the peninsula before returning Ensenada. To complete the race at speed, the driver's advanced technique is tested along with the tires' excellent rough road performance and durability.
The "Open Country" series tires supplied by Toyo Tires, for this race have been developed incorporating feedback from the experience gained from participating in off-road races around the world. Taking advantage of its tough structure and tread that firmly grips rough roads, the product is highly robust, resisting impacts while driving and contributing in numerous victories to date.
In this race, we supply "Open Country M/T R", a race-tuned version of the "OPEN COUNTRY M/T", to the teams, led by our supported drivers Bryce Menzies, Alan Ampudia, and Tavo Vildosola. In addition, we supply the "Open Country R/T Trail" to the vehicles of "TEAM JAOS", the race team of JAOS Co., Ltd., a comprehensive parts manufacturer for SUVs and four-wheel drive vehicles with which we have a strategic partnership .
In the Trophy Truck division, the highest class of the series, Toyo Tires supported drivers monopolize the top of the series rankings in 2024 after the first three races, and are expected to win the BAJA 1000 and become the series champion. Toyo Tires support the challenges of the drivers and teams supplying "Open Country" series tires.
