Toyo Tire Europe, Willich, Germany – The latest generation studless tire, the Observe GSi5, will be launched in Europe at two exhibitions simultaneously.

In France, Observe GSi5 launches at Pneu Expo, a tire industry exhibition held at Parc Eurexpo, Lyon. Pneu Expo is a brand new event which runs from 7 to 9 February.

Meanwhile, in Norway, Observe GSi5 will premiere at Automessen 2012. The twelfth edition of this major automotive trade exhibition runs from February 8 to 11.

Observe GSi5 is a studless tire suitable for extreme winter conditions. Whether driving on snow, slush, ice or simply slippery wet roads, Observe GSi5 has the technology to deliver safe performance in any winter condition. This new tire will be available in a very wide range of sizes covering passenger car and SUV applications for the 2012 winter season.

In addition to TOYO TIRES renowned walnut shell microbits, the Observe GSi5 silica tread compound also features a new absorbent carbonic powder. Made from bamboo charcoal, a renewable resource, the carbonic powder removes the water like layers on the surface of ice to greatly improve traction.

An advanced form of spider sipe is incorporated in the new Observe GSi5 tread pattern along with saw tooth edges, arrow lift and first edge sipe technologies.

Available in S, T and H speed ratings, 75 series to 35 series and from 14 inch to 20 inch rim fitments, Observe GSi5 is the complete studless tire.
