Eric Vigouroux and BJ Baldwin will contest the 2014 Dakar Rally in a brand new team using Toyo Tires race winning Open Country M/T-R tires.

The new team, EV Racing, combines the talents of French endurance rally specialist, Vigouroux and US star, Baldwin with an all-new car from Damon Jefferies. The EVR Proto VX-101 truck will be equipped with 37x13.5 R17 Open Country M/T-R

Eric Vigouroux is an Off-Road veteran and former FIA Cross Country Rally 2WD Trophy Champion. With 15 years of experience including 2nd place in class in the 2013 Dakar and overall wins in both the Morocco Rally of 2012 and 24 Hours of Morocco, he enters the 2014 Dakar full of confidence. The new car, with its racing pedigree, combined with an experienced team, gives Eric the potential to surprise some bigger teams during the 2014 Dakar.

With 4 Off-Road racing Championships in the last 6 years and back-to-back Baja 1000 wins in 2013 and 2012, “Ballistic” B. J Baldwin, needs little introduction. After his first experience in the 2008 Dakar where he took a stage win, Baldwin returns to the Dakar Rally to prove his potential in the biggest Off-Road race in the world.

Toyo Tires Open Country M/T-R tires will be called upon once again to deliver their robust and durable race winning performance. Both B.J. and Eric will be relying on the tires to take them to greater glory in the 2014 Dakar.

The 2014 edition of the Dakar Rally will start in Rosario, Argentina on January 5^th and finish in Valparaiso, Chile on January 18^th, covering 13 stages and a total distance of over 8,300 km.
