Final Round of Super Sevens
6 Nov 2012
Season ends with 3 hour endurance race
After six rounds across Spain and Portugal including an invitation race at Spa in Belgium, the Super Seven by Kia 2012 championship comes to a season finale on Sunday, December 2 at Estoril circuit.
The series, sponsored by Toyo Tires, pits Caterham Super 7 cars fitted with Proxes R888 tires against each other in class groups. An affordable but highly competitive series, perfect for exploiting the track performance of the Toyo Tires.
Home of the Portuguese MotoGP, Estoril offers 4.1 km of track and 13 corners in a compact space giving great viewing possibilities.
The finale, a three hour endurance special allowing teams to enter up to four race drivers will make for a lively spectacle for the final round of the Super Seven challenge 2012. More than 25 teams have already signed up to be on the grid. This includes a number of British teams who will leave the bleak winter weather behind for the beautiful Portuguese coast.
The main race will start at 12.00 and continue to 15.00 and will be followed by a Classic challenge which runs for one hour starting at 15.20.
Toyo Tires have supported the Super Seven in 2012 with a sponsorship package that has seen their logo appear on the cars, publicity materials and race suits of all the competitors. The profile of Toyo Tires among the racing community in Portugal has been riding high
