RX Italia visits Austria

29 Aug 2019

The fourth round of the RX Italia takes place at the prestigious Wachauring in Melk.

On 31 August and 1 September the engines howl, the tires squeal and there will be dusty battles for the places on the podium. On the Austrian Wachauring the Rallycross Italia starts into the fourth round. Toyo Tires as an important partner hopes for a spectacular race.

Since this season, Toyo Tires  is the official partner of Rallycross Italia, supporting the champions, newcomers and surprise talents of the action-packed motorsport. The last three rounds didn't promise too much when it came to action and surprises. Toyo Tires equips the touring cars with the ideal technology, the road legal semislick Proxes R888R tires and the drivers outdo each other in their driving skills.

The professional rally driver Gigi Galli will certainly still have the adrenaline running through his veins. In the third round of the RX Italia the VW Polo of 15-year-old Dan Scočdopole pushed him until it came to contact with the Kia Rio of the experienced Galli. It will be interesting to see how this race will continue in the supercar category. It is also worth keeping an eye on the Peugeot 208R2 with pilot Brescia Mauro. He made his debut in the championships and immediately won the Super 1600 category on the Adriatic track.

The Tricolore RX offers interesting track combinations. After the night races on the Adria International Raceway, which was on the schedule for the first time in the championships, the pilots will battle it out on the Wachauring in the fourth round. The prestigious ring is not only a route for Rallycross Italia but also for the Czech one. Up to 140 starters promise motorsport at its finest. They have to cover a distance of 1350 metres of which almost 500 metres are gravel surfaces per lap.

The Rallycross Italia consists of six laps. Toyo Tires is an integral part of the championships - as an exhibitor at the races and in the public relations work of Rallycross Italia.
