Willich, Germany - Toyo Tire Europe GmbH announces that Tatsuo Mitsuhata  took responsibility for the EU Business Unit from July 1, 2014.

In addition to his role as General Manager of the EU Business Unit, he also takes over the Presidency of Toyo Tire Europe GmbH and Toyo Tire Deutschland GmbH.

Mr Mitsuhata was previously the President of Toyo Tire USA Corp. and is succeeded in this role by Mr Tomoshige Mitzutani. His prior experience in Europe includes a term as President of Toyo Tyre (UK) Ltd before serving as Vice President of Toyo Tire Europe until 2011.

Outgoing Europe Business Unit General Manager, Mr Shimizu, has spent the past six months improving the structure and direction of the business. The Business Unit is now stronger and better positioned to take advantage of emerging opportunities within Europe. He will continue to support the Europe Business Unit as Corporate Officer, General Manager of Tire Planning Division.

Former Toyo Tire Europe and Deutschland President, Mr Gonsui focused on strengthening the control and management functions of Toyo Tire Europe. At the same time, he oversaw the establishment of a new, market focused German sales company, which was incorporated in May this year. He leaves to join Tire Sales Planning Department based in Japan.

Mr Mitsuhata takes control of the Europe Business Unit at a time of improving economic indicators and increasing stability. His mission is to develop the restructured business to increase the importance of the European market within the Global business.
