„I’m so happy to come away with the win.“ said Heathcote. “I saw Warren Scott had braked a bit early for the first corner and thought I’d go for it, and I managed to get round the outside. I couldn't see anything in my mirrors all race. The next race is at my home track, Lydden Hill. I've already tested there and I was pretty quick, so I cannot wait to get back out."
The British Rallycross Championship is a highlight in British Rallycross. Seven classes compete: Super Retro Retro 1600, Super 16000 BMW Mini Hot Hatch, Swift Sport, RX150, Junior, Supernational and Supercar.
The format for the Toyo Tires MSA British rallycross championship, sees over 30, explosive 4 lap qualifying races across all classes. Best performers from these heats qualify for the 6 lap final or semi-final for larger classes.
After an action packed opening round, everyone is looking forward to the 2nd round at Lydden Hill on April 17. For more information visit: www.rallycrossbrx.com
