NanoEnergy R38 tire fitted to latest car
Toyo Tire & Rubber Co., Ltd. (President - Akira Nobuki) announces the NanoEnergy R38 in size 205/60 R16 92V has been selected as Original Equipment for the all-new Mazda3, currently launched in Europe.
The Mazda3 is the first instance of a NanoEnergy brand tire being fitted as Original Equipment on a new vehicle.
The all-new Mazda3 offers an exhilarating driving experience combined with outstanding economy. Developed utilizing KODO design and featuring Mazda’s award winning SKYACTIV technology the Mazda3 is a car without compromises. Similarly, the NanoEnergy R38 is a highly fuel efficient tire that delivers superior responsiveness and exciting driving while providing the environmental friendliness and safety demanded by the all-new Mazda3.
Since the overseas release of the first-generation model Mazda3 in 2003, over 3.7 million units have been sold globally, making it the company’s best-selling car.
In Europe, a tire labeling system was introduced in November 2012 to regulate rolling resistance, wet grip and noise. NanoEnergy R38 achieves the grades shown.
The NanoEnergy range, utilising Toyo’s high fuel efficiency technology, will expand both in Japan and overseas as an Original Equipment fitment for further new vehicles.
