On the same day that the Bundesliga announces the schedule for the 2016/2017 season, Toyo Tire Europe GmbH signs a two year contract, becoming Premium Partners with Fortuna Düsseldorf in the Bundesliga 2.

Fortuna enter the 2016/2017 season rebuilding their first team, determined to challenge for promotion. New signings of US National team member, Jerome Kiesewetter, the free scoring Marlon Ritter and Belgian U21 star, Maecky Ngombo point to the direction Fortuna will be heading.
