Speed up!
29 Jul 2019
On August the 10th and 11th the fourth round of the German Rallycross Championships starts in Schlüchtern.
920 m length, 60% asphalt and 40% gravel. Maximum speeds 150 km/h. It sounds like a normal rallycross track but will bring the DRX drivers to their limits at the beginning of August: Schlüchtern is considered a demanding track in German rallycross. The third of a total of five races is about getting into position for the last decisive races.
The German Rallycross thrills motorsport fans with a variety of demands on the drivers and exciting events for the spectators: "High speed is only one discipline that the drivers need to handle. The demanding terrain places very special demands on the vehicle, the drivers and, above all, the tires. "We have been a proud partner of the German Rallycross Championships for about two years," explains Mike Rignall, Senior Marketing Manager Toyo Tires Europe. "The ambition to be among the best in the various disciplines is in line with our company philosophy: Our claim is to develop tires that are top in terms of sportiness, comfort and mileage.”
Due to the challenging surfaces, the races are always full of exciting events for spectators: One of the drivers finished his race successfully in 2015 - on a rim.
Keep up, step on the gas and have fun: These three elements are not missing in any race and make the events of the German Rallycross so exciting. If you've never experienced it yourself, you should take the opportunity this year. Tickets are currently available for all three following races.
