28 Sep 2021
Japanese tire manufacturer Toyo Tires extends its support as main partner of the UCI World Cup Cyclo-Cross for the upcoming 2021-2022 season. Together with the UCI, Flanders Classics and the other main partners we continue to build on the growing international apppeal of this elite sport.
Champions League of Cyclo-cross
Toyo Tires has exhibited strong growth in recent years despite uncertain and turbulent times. Partly due to their prominent presence in the "Champions League" of Cyclo-cross, the brand has benefitted from a boost in brand awareness. Through our partnership with cyclo-cross racing, consumers and businesses have discovered the values and qualities of Toyo Tires company and products.
The UCI Cyclo-Cross World Cup is the pinnacle of the sport. The Championship, contested over 16 races around the world, remains cyclo-cross's most watched event. The organizer, Flanders Classics anticipates reaching an audience of more than 150 million, both live and from television coverage. A real connection with the fans will again be possible in the new season as the public will be permitted to participate (Subject to COVID regulation).
Business momentum Toyo Tires
With recent investments in a new European Research & Development Center in Düsseldorf, Germany and the start of new production facilities in Serbia, Toyo Tires accelerates its growth ambitions in Europe. Steven Laurijssen, Managing Director of Toyo Tire Benelux commented on the renewed partnership saying, “We are happy to link Toyo Tires as a main partner in this series of cyclo-cross races to our current business momentum. Just like the tire industry, you can only win through consistent high performance.”
In addition to cyclo-cross, in the cycling world, Toyo Tires also supports competitions in BMX and mountain bike.
