Toyo Tires and Chris Polvoorde take the overall victory at the King of the Hammers Toyo Tires Desert Challenge 2024, which took place in Johnson Valley, California, USA. Around 200 participants took part in the "Prologue" on January 27, 2024, of the world's toughest off-road one-day race to determine their positions for the main race one day later. This year, the 292-kilometre route had everything from rocky or sandy terrain to high-speed sections, pushing the drivers and their vehicles to their limits. Chris Polvoorde started the main race in pole position with his brand new 1000 hp Ford Raptor and relied on the Open Country M/T-R. With a total time of 3 hours, 16 minutes and 58 seconds, Chris Polvoorde was the first to cross the finish line, taking his second overall victory in his career at the Kings of the Hammers Toyo Tires Desert Challenge. |
