Toyo Tires receives SBT certification

Toyo Tires recently advised its greenhouse gas emission reduction targets for 2030 have been evaluated and certified. Toyo Tires have received a Science Based Targets Initiative1 certification., An "SBT Initiative", has been evaluated using a scientifically based method to limit the temperature rise due to global warming to within 1.5 degrees Celsius.

Science Based Targets (SBT) are greenhouse gas emission reduction targets that are consistent with the levels set by the Paris Agreement2 defined at the 2015 United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP21).
Our company has obtained certification for the medium-term greenhouse gas emission reduction targets (Scope 1, 2, and 3) toward 2030, as shown in the table below.
