Toyo Tire Corporation (Headquarters: Itami City, Hyogo Prefecture; President: Takashi Shimizu) announces that its European sales subsidiary company, Toyo Tire Europe GmbH (President: Kenta Kuribayashi), will again take a booth at the Essen Motor Show from November 29 to December 8.

Essen Motor Show is Europe’s largest tuning and motorsport car show, where over 500 automotive companies exhibit showcasing exclusive tuned cars as well as the latest aftermarket parts to the 360,000 visitors.

This year’s Toyo Tires booth will exhibit unique vehicles such as the custom Toyota Hilux that was premiered at Tokyo Auto Salon mounted with Open Country M/T tires. Also presented will be Ken Block’s Hoonicorn V2 Ford F150 fitted with “Proxes R888R” tires which stunned audiences in his epic Climbkhana video. These cars provide a visible demonstration of the global scope of the Toyo Tires brand.

Toyo Tires will also display for the first time, their new winter tire, Observe S944 which was launched this year for the European market. A total of ten ultra high performance, motorsport and SUV tires will be exhibited introducing the wide-ranging product lineup available.

As well as presenting his car, on December 7 and 8, Ken Block himself will join the booth, participating in stage shows where visitors can ask him questions followed by autograph sessions for his many fans.

Outside of Essen, Toyo Tires will inaugurate its new European R&D Center near Düsseldorf as its technology development base in Europe. From January 2022, the company will start operations at its new tire plant in Serbia which was also recently announced. The plant begins construction in 2020 with state-of-the-art production facilities taking advantage of the efficiencies available through production technology using the Internet of Things. 

The evolution of high performance tires being developed and manufactured locally, makes Essen Motorshow an ideal platform to increase Toyo Tires brand presence in Europe.
